Newcastle College tasked its higher education Graphic Communication and Illustration students to create riso prints for sale at Paper Jam 2023, a fundraising exhibition at the BottleWorks Ouseburn art gallery.

Create three artworks with the outcome of riso prints in mind.
solution
A series of three collages on humanity's unsustainable relationship with nature, juxtaposing dull, deteriorating symbols of humankind with vibrant Renaissance-style illustrations of thriving flora and fauna. The result is a surreal effect that challenges the typical visual style of a riso print with detailed, realistic elements.
